About Department

Economics is a branch of Social Science. It has a positive as well as normative aspect. So it is taught in both the faculties of Arts and Commerce at the under graduate level. The department of Economics and Business Economics is the founder department in this Institution. At the college level, there are two separate two separate departments viz. Department of Economics in the Art faculty and Department of Business Economics in the Commerce faculty. The Main Objectives of the Departments are:- • To study the basic and modern Principales of Economics and Business Economis. • To study the Micro and Macro Economics theories. • To develop Inter-disciplinary approach amongst the student. • To develop awareness amongst the student about socio-economic problems. • To equip the students to solve their day to day problems with the help of the subject knowledge. • To have the Practical Knowledge of the subject to make the student more competent in their daily life.
